About Us:

Owner’s Richard and Jacob Deys (middle and right in picture) purchased Finish Line Powder Coating; formerly The Finishing Line Co. in July 2025 expanding their capabilities in the coating industry. Currently they own and operate Sandman’s Blasting and Coatings in Canandaigua, NY. At Sandman’s their focus is high performance liquid coatings and large scale media blasting. With the addition of Finish Line Powder Coating, they are now able to offer another great service to help serve their current customers and unlock the doors to many new ones. They brought in Drew Donahower (left in picture), Business Manager, to help organize and manage customer relationships at Finish Line. Together the three of us and our passion for this industry are here to help companies from all industries feel confident in the quality coatings of their products.

Our goal is to help as many companies and individuals receive the best experience possible when it comes to high quality coatings from customer service to meeting strict deadlines to feeling confident in a coating that will last many years.

We take pride in the projects we have helped complete and the professional relationships we have formed and we are always looking to expand our knowledge and our customer base.

About Our Facility:

A 13,500sqft shop with the capability for large scale production coatings thanks to our 550ft overhead conveyor line. Incorporated in the line is an 80ft heated pretreatment wash stage and a 72ft line oven with a 4.5 million BTU output. For larger weldments such as railings and frames we have a batch oven that is 16ft long 4ft wide and 6ft tall. We also utilize a burn-off oven to remove previous coatings and clean parts before coating. It is a safe way to break down materials organically through heat. For surface preparation we have a media blasting cabinet that is 4ft long, 4ft wide and 3ft tall. where we can utilize various media such as aluminum oxide, steel grit/shot and glass bead.
